Namma Bengaluru Foundation, along with Citizens For Citizens and Vruksha Foundation, met Mr. R K Singh, Director of Projects at K-RIDE, to present recommendations on tree felling and compensatory plantation for the suburban rail project (33,000 trees). The team emphasized the need for a thorough assessment, transparency, and complete documentation. They also proposed forming an empowered committee with KRIDE, BBMP, and citizen arboriculture experts to oversee the process.
